This workshop presents 2 objectives :

1) The Tempera process and the great trade of painting :

- Preparation of the supports : gluing with rabbit skin glue, spanish white, marouflage
- Composition, drawing, sketch, model.
- Preparation of the binders and pigments.
- l'imprimature - light softening with egg, yolk.
- Tempera process.
- Oil addition in the egg mix : we arrive to the invention of the oil painting!

2) To be assistant for the realization of a monumental egg tempera painting :
- Installation, enlarging with the square starting from the model.
- The coloured outline according to the model.
- Execution of funds, of some elements of decoration, sky, grounds
This step aims to the reconstitution of the workshop of the Middle Age or Renaissance until the XIXe century...


Cet atelier présente 2 finalités:

1) Approche des procédés de base du métier de la peinture :

- Préparation des fonds: encollage, maroufflage des panneaux.
- Composition, dessin, mise en place.
- Préparation des liants et des pigments.
- L'ébauche colorée (l'imprimature) - lavis à l'eau ou détrempe légère à l'oeuf.
- La tempéra à l'oeuf proprement dite: avec le blanc seul ou le jaune et le blanc ensembles.
- Adjonction d'huile dans l'émulsion à l'oeuf, ...nous parvenons à l'invention de la peinture à l'huile!

2) Etre assistant pour la réalisation d'une grande toile a tempera :

selon différentes étapes:
- Mise en place, agrandissement au carreau à partir de la maquette.
- L'ébauche colorée selon la maquette.
- L'exécution de fonds, de certains éléments de décor, des ciels ,sols etc...

Cette démarche vise à la reconstitution de l'atelier de l'époque médiévale ou renaissance jusqu'au 19ème siècle...
